Lead Poisoning Prevention Program

(Program)

Provides lead poisoning prevention services including identification of at-risk children and high-risk housing. Offers free in-home inspections. Works to educate the community about lead poisoning prevention, provides in-home lead paint inspections, and coordinates blood lead testing access for children under 18 years of age.

Eligibility: Onondaga County families with a child under 6 years or a pregnant woman who live in a home with elevated test results; additional eligibility criteria for age of housing, household composition and risk to occupants may apply
