ParentChild+ Program

(Program)

Provides an in-home school readiness program with twice weekly visits with the family, bringing a new book or toy for the child to keep and model for the parents' fun ways to help their child learn through play.

Focuses on building relationships with families to support parents in realizing their role as their children's first and most important teacher and the positive impact they will have on their child's academic success. Early literacy, math, cognitive, and social-emotional skills are developed in an effort to decrease the preparation/achievement gap for children living in poverty and to start them on the path to school success.

Eligibility: Families who are challenged by poverty, isolation, limited educational opportunities, language and literacy barriers, lack of transportation and/or other obstacles to healthy development and educational success
