Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF)

(Program)

Provides supportive services to very low income Veterans and their families who are homeless or are in danger of losing their homes. Services include outreach, case management, and assistance obtaining VA and other benefits. Provides time-limited payments to third parties, such as landlords, utility companies, moving and storage companies, and child care providers, if those payments can help Veteran families stay in or obtain permanent, sustainable housing.

Eligibility: Onondaga County residents with record of military service and verification of income level

Application Process: Call or go online for information and services

Required Documentation: DD214, income statements, verification of housing status, VA benefit card
