Indigent Burial Assistance
Provides financial assistance for St. Lawrence County residents who have died without sufficient resources for a burial or cremation and whose family is unable to assume responsibility for paying all of the expenses.
Program Information
Eligibility: St. Lawrence County residents whose family member has died and do not have sufficient resources to pay for a burial or cremation
Application Process: Application form available online at https://stlawco.org/Departments/SocialServices/AssistancePrograms#SSA and at all funeral homes in St. Lawrence County
Required Documentation: Proof of all income and resources
