Refugee Assistance Program (RAP)

Provides assistance to adult refugees in educational, social, and occupational service areas to help promote successful community engagement and self-sufficiency. Specific activities include ENL instruction at all levels from pre-literate to advanced, family literacy, employment preparation, job placement assistance and job training, transitional support services, and social adjustment.

Eligibility: English as a New Language: Adults over the age of 21 without a US High School Diploma who would like to learn or improve English skills

Employment assistance and other support services: Refugees, asylees, certified trafficking victims, Special Immigrant Visa holders, and Cuban Entrants who are over the age of 16 years and have been in the United States for less than 5 years

Application Process: Call for information and services and to make an appointment for enrollment

Required Documentation: Education services: None Employment services: Documentation of refugee or other USCIS status (see eligibility) and a Social Security number
